2019: A Year in Review

Our first year as the Official Band of San Francisco just flew by!

We’ve been busier than ever since last December 2018, when Mayor London Breed, Supervisor Rafael Mandelman, and the San Francisco Board of Supervisors bestowed upon us that incredible honor and capstone to our landmark 40th Anniversary Season! In 2019, we performed at over 35 events all across the Bay Area. See a timeline of all of the events (with pictures) at the end of this post! We’ve also put together an expanded slideshow of photos on YouTube.

Throughout 2019, we sought to use our status as the Official Band to highlight organizations and events working to serve our communities. We are incredibly proud to have supported over 20 local groups that promote LGBTQ+ visibility and nurture understanding between diverse communities, including AIDS Walk SF, Castro Street Merchants, Community United Against Violence (CUAV), GLIDE Memorial Church, Maitri Compassionate Care, OpenHouse San Francisco, Sacramento Pride, and Silicon Valley Pride—nearly half of which we partnered with for the first time!

The success of our message of visibility, inclusivity, and love is only possible thanks to generous donors like you! To make a donation, please visit our Donation page.
