Our Mission
The San Francisco Pride Band provides for the education and musical development of its members, promotes visibility of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities, and with its allies, fosters understanding among diverse communities through public performance.

The Official Band of San Francisco Has a New Name
June 8, 2024The San Francisco Lesbian/Gay Freedom Band has updated its name to the San Francisco Pride Band, reinforcing its commitment to inclusivity across the LGBTQ+ spectrum. The new name reflects extensive community feedback and aligns with the organization's broader initiatives.
