On Thursday May 22 (Harvey Milk’s actual birthday), there will be a celebration held at Jane Warner Plaza and the Band has been asked to play prior to the event start! The program will be a bit different than years past: Cleve Jones will be speaking followed by a performance by Opera Parallel, a group that performed an opera version of the life of Harvey Milk.
Once Opera Parallel has concluded, the band has been asked to escort the group, playing at times to the Roxie Theatre which is located 16th and Valencia Street.
