We’re Back!
The San Francisco Lesbian/Gay Freedom Band is elated to invite you to our first in-person concert in over 18 months!
After a year and a half of virtual rehearsals and online concerts, we’re excited to present Autumn Notes in the Park live and in person on Saturday, September 25 at the Golden Gate Park Music Concourse! This hour-long outdoor performance will feature a number of dynamic and celebratory pieces, spanning from pops and marches, to several fun symphonic numbers.
Autumn Notes in the Park is the culmination of our Band’s first careful steps back to in-person events. Our musicians first met in person in July, after over a year of only rehearsing via Zoom. Those first few notes together after only seeing each other on our computers felt absolutely exhilarating!
The safety of our musicians, volunteers, and audience is our foremost concern. The Band has carefully developed a Health and Safety plan that governs all of our in-person activities. Bench seating at the venue is on a first-come first-served basis, and we ask that all audience members follow current San Francisco Health Department guidelines. Current rules will be posted around the venue and announced at the beginning of the concert. The Band’s Message to our Audience and Health and Safety Plan are both available on our website.
We hope you can join us on September 25th for a fun afternoon in Golden Gate Park!
