Dance-Along Nutcracker® 2019: Nutcrackers in Space

About this Year’s Show

Join Clara, Fritz and the Lesbian/Gay Freedom Band as they waltz through the solar system, visit an alien-filled cantina on the outskirts of space, sneak aboard an evil ship, and help save the galaxy by recovering the legendary Dilithium Nutcracker! All this, while wearing their space tutus and dancing along to some out-of-this-world tunes!

Part comedy musical, part dance-it-yourself ballet, and part symphonic concert, the Dance-Along Nutcracker features the holiday fun and tradition you’ve come to expect from this San Francisco favorite. Learn more at DanceAlongNutcracker.org.

About Dance-Along Nutcracker

Dance-Along Nutcracker® is San Francisco’s joyful, interactive holiday show where live music, theatre, and playful audience participation come together for a family-friendly celebration.

Produced by the San Francisco Pride Band — the Official Band of San Francisco — Dance-Along Nutcracker blends Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite with Broadway, pop, movie, and contemporary favorites. Each year, the 75-piece band performs an all-new musical theatre storyline filled with big characters, humor, choreographed dance numbers, and plenty of chances for the audience to join the fun.
