Chinese New Year Parade

Come out to celebrate the lunar new year with the San Francisco Lesbian/Gay Freedom Marching Band as they entertain the many hundreds of thousands of people who come to watch this nighttime illuminated parade. New this year are many health and safety guidelines to protect performers and audience members; read more here: https://chineseparade.com/health-safety-protocols/.

Parade Route

The parade starts off at 2nd and Market Streets, goes around Union Square and ends at Kearny Street & Columbus Ave. The distance of the parade route is approximately 1.3 miles. Catch the band anywhere along the parade route!

While the parade is on Saturday, February 19, the television broadcast will not be live. KTSF will be broadcasting February 20, and KTVU will be broadcasting February 26. But the live stream will still be happening live! Click here to view the official livestream, beginning 2/19 at 5PM. SFLGFB is unit #39 (early in the parade).
